Industrials Linings And Products For Targeted Applications
For new installations, repair, or replacements, we work with you to select the best value product for your equipment configuration and operating conditions. Rely on our materials and application expertise for an objective, high value wear solutions.
Ceramic
90-95% Alumina
Available in standard shapes and sizes and comes with an optional Zirconia additive for improved impact resistance.Reaction Bonded Silicon Carbide
While more brittle than alumina, this material is harder, is more chemical-resistant, and can be made thinner to save on weight.Sintered Silicon Carbide
For orifices or as wear linings in extreme environments where maximum erosion or chemical resistance is required.
UHMW
Bolt, Screw, or Welding Installation
Effective for low coefficient of friction and/or abrasion-resistant applications such as conveyors, tanks, cyclones, and chutes.
Weld Overlay
Chrome Carbide
For high temperature or tough wear environments where impact is a concern.Tungsten Carbide
For extreme abrasive environments or critical equipment.
Abrasion-Resistant
Various Grade Materials
Available for plates, pipes, and other conveying equipment and components
Custom Tile Kits
We design tailored tile kits for parts of all sizes and shapes.
Standard Flat Tile
We provide a variety of flat tile that can be cut for welded and non-welded applications.
Standard Pipe Tile
For piping, ductwork, and other curved surfaces requiring erosion resistance, custom pipe tile can be cut to fit many applications.
Iso-Pressed Cylindrical Pipe Linings
By applying this monolithic lining into a variety of cylindrical shapes, we eliminate longitudinal joints and remove the concern of a tile becoming dislodged and exposing the substrate to erosion.
Epoxy Cement
For applications up to 550°F, this material provides a reliable bond when adhering pipe tile to a substrate.
Ceramic Beaded Epoxy Mortar
This material is an ideal abrasion-resistant solution for screws, on uneven surfaces, or in gaps, and works for applications up to 550°F. This material also serves as a temporary repair medium until a permanent solution can be installed.
RTV
RTV provides a bedding material for welded tile applications and can also be used to seal joints in ductwork, casings, and weldments. This material comes in both low temperature and high temperature (200-335°F) formulas.

Bottom Ash Cyclone
Excessive wear was occurring in the target wall area of a bottom ash cyclone lined with refractory. After reviewing the process and evaluating lining options, we recommended a replacement cyclone lined with 90% alumina ceramic tile, which would reduce maintenance costs significantly. We fabricated the replacement cyclone, installed the ceramic lining, and performed the mechanical installation.
Biomass Pneumatic Ash Handling System Piping
We evaluated existing issues with an ash handling system using a cast iron piping product to reduce wear. With the overall goals of increasing service life and reducing maintenance cost, we redesigned the system using ceramic-lined pipe.
Fuel Feed Conveyor
Excessive wear on a biomass fuel feed conveyor was requiring frequent and difficult repairs. Patching contributed to additional challenges with the conveyor chains, material flow, and broken drive system pins. As part of a retrofit effort, we were able to save the drive and the sides of the conveyor and replace wear areas with removable panels fitted with custom ceramic linings.
Biomass Fuel Feed Cyclone
Wear on the upper target wall of a fuel feed cyclone was resulting in expensive and challenging repairs. Our solution was to fabricate a new cyclone shell fitted with an advanced chromium carbide weld overlay liner that would provide wear protection while improving repairability.
Sawdust Pneumatic Conveying System
A chip-handling system made of carbon steel was upgraded using 600 Brinell through-hardened steel as a cost-effective solution for improving durability.
Ash Handling Pipe
As a quick and cost-effective solution to address leaks in an ash handling system, we fabricated replacement pipe and lined it with standard ceramic tile for improved durability.
Biomass Fuel Chutes
Fuel chutes for a biomass system were upgraded for improved wear. The original parts were AR-500 steel. The new chutes utilized quench and tempered (QT) steel. The QT through-hardened steel improved service life compared to the face-hardened AR plate. The new chutes were also designed to enable future repair and replacement of high wear areas, as necessary.
Biomass Feed Screws and Day Bins
To extend the life of equipment in a biomass system, AR plate was systematically replaced with a through-hardened QT material. Screw troughs, bark bins, and a fuel chute were fabricated and replaced in stages to align with the customer’s scheduled outage.
