Our Commitment to Customers
The safety of our employees, customers, and communities is our highest priority. While working at customer facilities, we follow strict safety procedures along with customer and site-specific safety requirements. From project leadership to field service teams, employees are held accountable. Our comprehensive safety program trains, reinforces, and recognizes safe behavior.
Safety Professionals: Leading Programs And Procedures
Our Safety Team is responsible for understanding and preventing construction injuries. The Safety Team develops core safety materials and procedures, leads training, performs site audits, and conducts safety incident root cause analysis. Our Safety Team includes individuals with the following certifications:
CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
ASP (Associate Safety Professional)
OHST (Occupational Health and Safety Technician)
CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician)
Safety Training: Setting Clear Standards
All employees receive 25 hours of in-house safety training and testing before they enter the field.
Hands-on skills assessments are completed for lockout-tagout, confined space, forklifts, aerial lifts, and fall protection.
Daily and weekly safety meetings provide ongoing reinforcement of safe behaviors.
Site Visits: Verifying Safe Actions
Safety team members and SEFA Industrial Solutions managers visit project sites to verify that all employees are practicing safe behaviors.
Scheduled and random site safety inspections are supplemented by individual coaching and hands-on skills verification of competent persons. Our Safety Recognition program further promotes safe behaviors by encouraging employees to recognize the safe decisions of fellow team members.
Occupational Health: Promoting Quality Care For Employees
Contributing to the health and safety of our employees is SEFA’s in-house Occupational Health Nurse. Both a Registered Nurse and a Certified Occupational Health Nurse Supervisor, this person serves as a key contact for employees with injuries, providing immediate medical attention in person or by video and continuing to manage care throughout medical treatment.
Working Together, Safer: Infectious Disease Control & COVID-19
As a service provider to the critical operations of our customers, SEFA Industrial Solutions follows the guidance of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, state and local agencies, and customer site standards on preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Our Infectious Disease Control Plan outlines SEFA’s policies to help minimize the spread of contagious disease and employees’ responsibility to report potential or actual exposure or symptoms to our Occupational Health staff.
