Industrial Gas Cooler Replacement
Mechanical | Electrical | InstrumentationWith only one week to replace a 170,000 lb. gas cooler, we completed the project on schedule safely and efficiently. Work began with disconnecting and removing water piping, ductwork, electrical, instrumentation, and a catwalk. Rigging was attached to the existing cooler as anchor bolts were disconnected, and the existing cooler was removed for demolition.
A special hauling truck was used to bring the new cooler to the staging area. Once rigging was attached, the new unit was lifted and set in place, and all system connections were restored.
A new feature of our improved design is the addition of inspection ports on the replacement cooler, allowing for visual examination of the tubes located on the inside of the cooler.
