Fabrication | MechanicalTo overcome equipment reliability challenges with an existing quench tower, a customer specified a durable yet unusual material for replacement ductwork and engaged our team for fabrication. Since a weld procedure for the material did not exist, our in-house Quality Control team developed a custom weld procedure, outlining the work process and conditions necessary for the final parts to meet project specifications.
We then fabricated new ductwork to connect the outlet of the incinerator to the outlet of the tower, plus structural supports. Field demolition and installation of the new ductwork and quench tower was completed by our mechanical team who worked around the clock to minimize client downtime.
